Enchantment (Novel)

Enchantment is a novel by author Orson Scott Card, an almost-total re-envisioning of the Sleeping Beauty fairy-tale. Contemporary graduate student Ivan Smetski, researching ancient Russian folklore and Old Church Slavonic, awakens the princess Katerina of Taina and is forced to marry her in order to save her 10th century Russian kingdom from the famous Russian witch, Baba Yaga.
