EllingtonEllington is a small village approximately 4 miles from Ashington and 6 miles from Morpeth in Northumberland, England and was the site of the last remaining operational deep coal mine in the area. Ellington Colliery closed in January 2005. It was the last deep mine in the UK to extract coal from under the sea. External link
