Elections In Malaysia

Elections in Malaysia gives information on election and election results in Malaysia. Malaysia elects on national level a legislature. The Parliament or Parlimen has two chambers. The House of Representatives or Dewan Rakyat has 219 members, elected for a five year term in single-seat constituencies. The Senate or Dewan Negara consists out of 26 representatives of the States, elected for a six year term and 43 appointed members. Malaysia is a one party dominant state with the United Malays National Organization in power. Opposition parties are allowed, but are widely considered to have no real chance of gaining power.
