Elections in Guinea-Bissau gives information on election and election results in Guinea-Bissau. Guinea-Bissau elects on national level a head of state (the president) and a legislature. The president is elected for a five year term by the people. The People's National Assembly (Assembleia Nacional Popular) has 102 members, elected for a four year term in multi-member constituencies. Guinea-Bissau has a multi-party system, with numerous parties in which no one party often has a chance of gaining power alone, and parties must work with each other to form coalition governments.
