  • In 1947, Robert F. Jones resigned his seat in order to accept an appointment to the Federal Communications Commission. McCulloch was elected in a special election in 1947 to serve the remainder of Jones's term.
  • After Kloeb's resignation in 1938, Walter H. Albaugh was elected in a special election to fill out the remainder of Kloeb's term. Albaugh did not stand as a candidate in 1938 for the full term beginning in 1939.
