Ein Gedi

Ein Gedi is an oasis near the Dead Sea. It is known for caves, ibex, and spring water. It is mentioned in the Song of Songs. King David hid from Saul in the caves here. The caves of Qumran and Masada are located nearby. Nowadays - a kibbutz is located by the oasis, offering touristic attractions and utilizing local weather to cultivate out of season agricultural produce.
