Edward Tudor-pole

Edward Tudor-Pole (born December 6, 1954) is a British singer and actor. He came to prominence as a replacement for Johnny Rotten in the The Sex Pistols in 1978, though he only sang "The Great Rock And Roll Swindle" and an unlikely cover version of "Rock Around The Clock". He returned in 1980 as lead singer of his own band, Tenpole Tudor, whose only UK Top 10 hit was "Swords Of A Thousand Men". He later became a television presenter as host of The Crystal Maze in the 1990s and is also an actor. Probably best known for his appearances in 'The Crystal Maze' and on Top of The Pops, Tudor-Pole has appeared in numerous films and plays, including The Rocky Horror Show, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, White Hunter, Black Heart with Clint Eastwood and Numerous films by Alex Cox. He is presently shooting The Life and Death of Peter Sellers in which he plays Spike Milligan.

His live acoustic shows tend to attract both aging punks and new fans attracted by his TV and film roles, and exhibit a mix of punk rock, country-western and pure rock 'n' roll. Each of his tunes pays tribute to a variety of stars. Standard punk anthems stand side by side with influences as diverse as Status Quo, Freddie Mercury, Tammy Wynette and Shakin' Stevens.
