Editplus

EditPlus is an Internet-ready 32-bit shareware text editor, source code editor, and HTML editor for Windows. It can serve as a good replacement for Notepad, but it also offers many powerful features for Web page authors and programmers. Syntax highlighting for many popular programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, Perl) and markup languages (e.g. HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, JavaScript, VBScript). It can also be extended to support other languages via custom syntax files. Seamless Web browser for previewing HTML pages and FTP commands for uploading local files to FTP servers are just two of the features that make it useful. Other features include an HTML toolbar, configurable user tools, line numbers, rulers, URL highlighting, auto-completion, cliptext, column selection, powerful search and replace using regex, multiple undo/redo, a spell checker for American or British English, and customizable keyboard shortcuts. On a feature-by-feature basis, it is on par with the commercial Visual SlickEdit.
