Durlach

Durlach is a borough of Karlsruhe. Margrave Karl of Badenia had his residence here until he decided that he needed more space which led to the foundation of Karlsruhe. The most important attraction is the Turmberg ('tower hill'), a castle from which you can get a fine view of Karlsruhe and its surroundings. Previously an independent town, in 1938 Durlach was incorporated into Karlsruhe.
