DukhatIn the fictional Babylon 5 universe, Dukhat was a leader of the Minbari. He was considered one of their greatest leaders. Dukhat served as a mentor to Delenn - because of him she had grown from a simple acolyte to represent the religious caste in the Grey Council. The first contact between the Minbari and the Humans was disastorus. The Minbari ships approached the Earth Alliance ships with their gun ports open in a sign of respect. However, the human captain - who had a reputation as having an itchy trigger finger - panicked and opened fire on the Minbari ships. This attack resulted in the death of Dukhat. This caused the Minbari to declare a holy war against the humans that resulted in about 250,000 human deaths. Reiner Schone was the actor who portrayed Dukhat. He was first seen in the episode "Atonement."
