Dudley Boyz

The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley, are one the most successful tag teams in wrestling history. They are part of ECW's infamous Dudley Family. The Dudley Boyz's gimmick can be summed up in one word: tables. The Dudley Boyz's claim to WWF/WWE fame is bringing the use of tables as weapons into the wrestling mainstream, often using there signature double-team move the 3D to put victims through a table. The Dudley Boyz were also part of the development of a match known as TLC (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) along with the Hardy Boyz (ladders) and Edge and Christian (chairs).

The Dudley Family

The Dudley Family was the extended professional wrestling stable that was created by Extreme Championship Wrestling. The gimmick behind the stable was that in the fictional ECW storylines, the Dudleys were all half-brothers, despite their obvious differences in physical appearance and even race. The stable consisted of The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von), Little Snot Dudley, Dudley Dudley, Big Dick Dudley, Dances With Dudley, Sign Guy Dudley, Chubby Dudley, and the runt of the litter, Spike Dudley. After capturing the ECW Tag Team titles eight times, the Dudleys left ECW and the Dudley Family in August 1999 to join the WWF, now WWE.

Notable achievements

The Dudley Boyz are the only tag team in history to capture the WWE, WCW and ECW tag titles. The Dudley Boyz have won a major tag team title 18 times— eight times in the ECW, nine times in the WWE, and once with a WCW belt (even though the WWE had purchased WCW the belts were still recognized as WCW titles). They were also involved in wrestling legend Fred Blassie's last television appearance, six weeks before his death in 2003. Blassie came out to the ring entrance ramp in his wheelchair and participated in a storyline with the Dudleys. The climax of the story came when Blassie told the Dudleys to "get the tables!", a line typically delivered by Bubba to D-Von.

a While Bubba Ray slams the opponent and spreads the opponent's legs apart D-Von would climb the turnbuckle and perform a diving headbutt into the opponent's groin. Bubba Ray and D-Von would say "Whazzzup?!" before performing the move, an allusion to the Budweiser beer commercials that were popular at the time they started performing the move.
