Dove (Crater)Dove is a small lunar crater that is located in the rugged lunar highlands in the southeastern part of the Moon. It lies to the north of the prominent Pitiscus crater. This is a heavily worn and eroded crater with a rim that is overlaid by multiple small craters. In particular the satellite crater 'Dove C' has broken into the southwestern rim and a gap joines the floor of the two formations. The southern rim has been struck by multiple small impacts that form a tight cluster across the rim. There are also several small craters along the northern rim. Dove crater does have a small interior floor that is relatively level and marked only by a few tiny craterlets. Satellite craters By convention these features are identified on Lunar maps by placing the letter on the side of the crater mid-point that is closest to Dove crater. | idth="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Latitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Longitude | width="25%" style="background:#eeeeee;" |Diameter | | lign="center"|A | align="center"|46.9° S | align="center"|33.5° E | align="center"|13 km | | lign="center"|B | align="center"|47.1° S | align="center"|33.1° E | align="center"|19 km | | lign="center"|C | align="center"|47.0° S | align="center"|30.8° E | align="center"|19 km | | lign="center"|Z | align="center"|44.5° S | align="center"|29.2° E | align="center"|8 km |
