Dominic Miller

Dominic Miller was born in Buenos Aires Argentina in 1960. He spent the first ten years of his life growing up in Argentina before embarking on a relocation northwards to Wisconsin North America. After starting learning guitar in his teens (age 15) he later studied with Sabastio Tapajos and notably at London's Guildhall School of Music. His first notable incursion to recording came during the mid 1980's when he appeared on Phil Collins (of Genesis, Solo album, But Seriously, later appearing in works by Sting formerly of The Police, of which he has worked on ever album and tour since 1990. Dominic Miller tours solo and has released several solo guitar albums. His first album in 1995 'First Touch', followed by 1999's Second Nature, and then 2002's New Dawn. His latest studio offering is 2004's Third World. During 2003 the album Shapes was released, in the UK initialy, featuring interpretations of classical pieces by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Elgar and Albinoni. Shapes was released globally in March 2004 featuring a revised tack layout. The global total sales are in excess of 100,000. His recording and interpretation of Albinoni's Adagio follows a sucession of contemporary use and has been previously used by Swedish Neoclassical guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. The theme also appears in the film Gallipoli starring Mel Gibson. During 2005 Dominic Miller is touring with Sting. He now resides in London UK.
