Diego Simeone

Diego Pablo Simeone (born April 28, 1970 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football midfielder, he is the most capped player ever for Argentina. In his club career that started in 1987, Simeone played for Vlez Sarsfield, Pisa, Sevilla FC, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Lazio. He is currently playing for Racing Club. For Argentina, Simeone, nicknamed El Cholo, amassed 106 caps, the first coming in 1988. He played in the 1994, 1998 and 2002 World Cups. It was in the 1998 Cup that he was part of an incident with David Beckham; the English star kicked Simeone and was sent off. Never a big scorer, Simeone has scored 11 goals for his country. Although intimidating on the field, Simeone is humble off it, calling it an "embarrassment" when he passed Diego Maradona on the Argentine cap list. Simeone, Diego Simeone, Diego
