Denny Hulme

Denis Clive "Denny" Hulme (June 18, 1936-October 4, 1992) was the Formula One Champion of 1967 driving for the Brabham team. He then moved to McLaren, and was successful in the Canam series, until retirement from F1 in 1974 but continued racing saloon and sports cars in Australia and New Zealand. Hulme died while he was racing but not from racing. In 1992 he suffered a fatal heart attack while at the wheel of a BMW M3 during the Bathurst 1000 in Australia. He was 56. Denny Hulme was the son of Clive Hulme VC.
