The town De Bilt

De Bilt (population as of 2001: 14,800) is the seat of the headquarters of the Royal Dutch Institute for Meteorology, KNMI. It is the ancestral home and namesake for the prominent United States Vanderbilt family.

Bilthoven

Bilthoven (population as of 2001: 17,970) lies to the north of De Bilt. It has a railway station with connections to Utrecht, Amersfoort and Baarn.

Hollandsche Rading

Hollandsche Rading (population as of 2001: 1570) is a small village between Hilversum and De Bilt. It has a railway station with connections to Utrecht and Hilversum.
