David Wright (Baseball Player)

David Wright (born December 20, 1982 in Norfolk, Virginia) is a Major League Baseball third baseman who has played for the New York Mets since 2004. He was brought up to the Mets on July 21st, 2004. He hit .293 with 14 homeruns and 40 RBI in 263 at bats. He is considered the Mets' number 1 prospect, and some scouts have compared his talent to that of Scott Rolen and Mike Schmidt.
