David Stratton

David Stratton is an Australian film critic and television personality. Together with Margaret Pomeranz, he hosted the long-running SBS TV program The Movie Show. He now appears on the ABC version of the programme, At the Movies. He currently writes reviews for The Australian newspaper and formerly did so for the US film industry magazine Variety. A highly regarded expert on international cinema, particularly French cinema, he has acted as a judge at the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals. He also is a past director of the Sydney Film Festival. He lectures in film history at the University of Sydney.
