David Perry

Biography

David Perry is one of the most recognised innovators in the video game industry. He is an industry veteran, having programmed his first games in the "hey-days" of gaming at the age of 15, more than 20 years ago. He has since developed 36 games, grossing more than $500 million in sales. This has earned him wide respect from fellow developers and gamers alike. After several positions with different companies, David Perry decided to found his own, Shiny Entertainment, in 1993. Shiny met immediate success with its popular game, Earthworm Jim, a pioneer in both gameplay and atmosphere. The company has also developed several other award-winning games such as MDK, Messiah and the hugely popular film tie-in Enter the Matrix. Note that this David Perry should not be confused with Dave Perry, co-commentator on UK Channel 4 video game TV show GamesMaster.
