Danube School

Danube School

Donauschule

) is the name of a circle of painters of the first third of the
16th century
in
Bayern
and
Austria
(also along the
Danube
valley). Among the most important painters are
Albrecht Altdorfer

Wolf Huber

Rueland Frueauf the Younger
. Occasionally, we can also add
Lucas Cranach the Elder
