Danube School

The Danube School (German:Donauschule or Donaustil) is the name of a circle of painters of the first third of the 16th century in Bayern and Austria (also along the Danube valley). Among the most important painters are Albrecht Altdorfer, Wolf Huber, Jrg Breu the Elder and Rueland Frueauf the Younger. Occasionally, we can also add Lucas Cranach the Elder.
