Dahuk, IraqDohuk is a town in Iraq. It has 400,000 inhabitants. The name Dohuk comes from Kurmanji Kurdish meaning small village. The Assyrian name for the city is Nuhadra. The population of Dohuk/Nuhadra is Kurdish and Assyrian. It's the heart of the Badinan population of the Kurds. Circled by mountains, along the Tigris river, Dahuk is very attractive to tourists.
