Crelle's Journal

Crelle's Journal, or just Crelle, is the common name for the Journal fr die reine und angewandte Mathematik founded by August Leopold Crelle. It was founded in 1826 and stand as a leading mathematical journal in the early nineteenth century. In fact, this journal is the first major mathematical journal which is not a proceeding of an academy. It published many notable papers, including work of Abel and Eisenstein.
