Congolese Labour Party

The Congolese Labour Party (Parti congolais du Travail), founded in 1969 by Marien Ngouabi, is the ruling political party of the Republic of the Congo. It was originally a pro-Soviet party, but moved towards capitalism during the first administration of Denis Sassou-Nguesso (1979-1992).
