Community Trade Mark

A Community Trade Mark, widely designated as CTM, refers to any trademark which has been registered, or in relation to which registration has been sought, in the European Union. A CTM is said to be unitary in character, in that the exclusive rights which attach to registration generally apply indivisible across the entire territory of the EU. The CTM system is administered by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) (OHIM), which is located in Alicante, Spain.
