Coln Theater

Opened in 1908, the Coln Theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. Built with a seating capacity of 2,500 in surroundings of classic French Renaissance style, the theater's design features a rich scarlet and gold decor. The cupola contains frescoes painted by the renowned 20th century artist Raul Soldi. Over the years, the Coln Theater has hosted such opera greats as Arturo Toscanini, Jane Bathori, Enrico Caruso, Maria Callas, Plcido Domingo, Astor Piazzolla and Luciano Pavarotti. Some say that the Teatro Coln is the place with the best acoustics in the world. This theatre is used for both Opera and Chamber Music concerts.
