Colegio Nacional De Buenos Aires

The Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires is a public high school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the tradition of the European gymnasium it provides a free, rigurous, multi-disciplinary education that includes classical languages such as Latin and Greek. Its origins date to the 17th Century, when the Colonial Spanish government entrusted the Jesuit Order with the education of the youth. Admission is highly competitive process involving multiple exams. The alumni include most of Argentina's Founding Fathers, Presidents, scientists, artists and even maoist terrorist leaders from the 1970s.
