Co-curricular Activities

Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are activities that schools or colleges in some parts of the world (like Singapore), or individual schools, organise for students. They often serve to promote leadership skills, personal development, healthy recreation, self-discipline and confidence in pupils, and to create a well-rounded curriculum. They often take place outside curriculum hours, and may include musical groups, sports, uniformed groups or clubs and societies. Competitions may also be organised to create a competitive environment and provide such CCA groups with an objective towards which they can work.
