Chris PolandChris Poland born as Christopher Poland is a jazz - fusion guitar player. He is mostly known for playing in the speed metal band Megadeth between 1984 and 1987. Chris recorded two albums with Megadeth; Killing is My Business... And Business is Good! (1985) and Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?!(1986). After leaving Megadeth Chris was successfully treated for substance abuse and joined punk rock legends "The Circle Jerks" as bass player. Just before recording Chris Poland; "Return to Metalopolis"(1990),a fusion/metal record for Enigma Records, Chris turned down what would be the first of two offers to rejoin Megadeth. "Damn the Machine", "Mumbo's Brain", "Nothing if Not" and Chris Poland; "Chasing the Sun" were some of Chris' other projects in the mid to late 90's. These and "Return to Metalopolis" are available today through Blacknote Records. Ohm: Chris Poland, Robertino Pagliari and David Eagle (Blacknote Records) is Chris' most recent Blacknote release. Rave reviews have followed this as well as the rest of Chris' catalog. The latest Ohm: line up is Chris Poland - guitar, Robertino Pagliari - bass and son of famed Cream drummer Kofi Baker - drums. Ohm: "Live on KPFK" (Lion Music)is a live studio recording that really showscases this formidable jazz-fusion trio at its best.
