Chris Barnes (Musician)

Chris Barnes was the original lead singer of the death metal band Cannibal Corpse. His deep, growling vocals - unprocessed by any special effects - were a key element of the band's early sound. He left Cannibal Corpse during the recording of the album Vile, which was eventually released in 1996. Barnes was then able to devote his full attention to the band Six Feet Under, which had been his side project since 1993. In 2003, they released the album Bringer of Blood.
