Chippawa, Ontario

Chippawa is a village located within the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario. While the town was named, and incorrectly spelled, after the Chippewa Indian band, the spelling Chippewa is incorrect for the town and the surrounding area. The village was founded in 1850, and became part of the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario by amalgamation in 1968. James Cameron, writer and director of such films as Titanic and The Terminator, grew up in Chippawa.
