Chinese Taipei National Football Team

The Chinese Taipei national football team is the official name given by FIFA to the national football team of the Republic of China (see Chinese Taipei for team naming issue.) The Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA), was founded in China as the China Football Association in 1924 and relocated to Taiwan in 1949 at the end of the Chinese Civil War. It joined FIFA in 1954. The team, playing as Taiwan, finished third in the Asian Cup in 1960.
