. It heads northwest from Beijing to
Zhangjiakou
then heads straight west, and runs to approximately 1,100
kilometres

, it was overwhelmed with traffic diverted from the
Jingzhang Expressway
, occurring as a result of a massive traffic jam on the expressway.
