The Chicago Surrealist Group

Franklin

Penelope Rosemont
, after their
1965
trip to
Paris
in which they either did or didn't meet
Andr Breton
and attended meetings of the
Paris Surrealist Group
. The group played a major role in organizing the
1976 World Surrealist Exhibition
in
Chicago
. It has published a sporadically-appearing newspaper,
WHAT Are You Going To Do About It?
. Among the participants in the group's activities have been
Clarence John Laughlin

Gerome Kamrowski
and
Philip Lamantia
.
