Cheapside

Cheapside is a common English street name, meaning 'market-place'. There are Cheapsides in Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Halifax, Lancaster, Leicester, Luton, and Manchester. The most famous one is in the City of London, which links Newgate Street with the junction of Queen Victoria Street, Cornhill, Threadneedle Street, Princes Street, Lombard Street and King William Street (via a small section called 'Poultry').
