Chattahoochee And Alabama Railroad

Florida state law chapter 3654, approved February 16, 1885, incorporated the Chattahoochee and Alabama Railroad Company, owned by M. N. Dickson, J. H. Stephens, Edward F. C. Dickenson, Alexander Hayes, H. G. Bryan, B. B. Barkley, C. B. Wynns, John B. Anderson, R. R. Pender and J. S. Baker, The railroad was promised land grants along its line if it began construction within two years. No land grants were to be given for sections built after seven years.
