Central Asian Republics

The Central Asian Republics are five countries located in Central Asia that were former republics of the Soviet Union. They are: The Central Asian Republics are sometimes referred to as Central Asia, although others prefer this term to be reserved for a larger geographic region within Asia rather than a designation given to specific Soviet republics.
