• Szkesfehrvr and Esztergom from around 1000 until 1361, but the function of a capital was not that clear as it is today
• Buda 1361-1541
• Pozsony 1541-1848 for the Kingdom of Hungary, and Gyulafehrvr for the independent Transylvania 1541-1699.
• Buda again 1848-1873, but the country was part of Austria from 1849 till 1867, so the true capital was Vienna (Bcs).
