Cameroon Airlines
Cameroon Airlines
is the national
airline
of
Cameroon
and is based in
Douala
. It was established in July
1971
and partly owned by the Cameroon Government (70%) and
Air France
(30%). Prior to its formation Cameroon's air services were flown by
Air Afrique
. Flights began with two
Boeing 737
-200 jets between Douala and
Yaounde
in November 1971. A service was started to Rome and Paris using an ex-Air France
Boeing 707
, replaced by a
Boeing 747
-200 in
1982
.
