Bundeskriminalamt

In Germany, the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) is the Federal police service (in contrast with the police forces of the German federal states, or Lnder), with headquarters in Wiesbaden. The BKA performs a counterintelligence role for the BRD, in cooperation with the intelligence agency, the Bundesnachrichtendienst, headquartered in Pullach near Munich. In Austria, the Bundeskriminalamt is a subsection of the Ministry of Interior Affairs and is located in Vienna.
