Geography Buffalo is located at 45°35'5" North, 103°32'42" West (45.584845, -103.545001). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.4 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.4 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Buffalo has been assigned the ZIP code 57720 and the FIPS place code 08140. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 380 people, 176 households, and 99 families residing in the town. The population density is 266.8/km² (693.6/mi²). There are 243 housing units at an average density of 170.6/km² (443.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.21% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races. 1.05% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
