Budgie (Drummer)

Peter Clarke, (born August 21 1957), better known as Budgie, is an English drummer. He began his career with the New Wavers Big in Japan before briefly playing with The Slits. Budgie joined Siouxsie & the Banshees, the band with whom he would gain most notoriety, in 1979. Initially he was intended to only be a temporary replacement for Kenny Morris, who had left the band two days into a tour, however he remained with the group until they eventually split up. He was also a member of The Creatures, along with Steven Severin and Siouxsie Sioux. Budgie married Siouxsie Sioux in 1991.
