Bruno Lawrence

Bruno Lawrence (February 12, 1941June 10, 1995) was a musician and actor, born David Lawrence in Brighton, England. He spent most of his life in New Zealand and also worked extensively in Australia. Bruno was a renowned jazz drummer, playing drums in many bands, including Blerta, and The Crocodiles. He also acted in many movies, including Smash Palace and The Quiet Earth, at the time the highest-grossing New Zealand film. His last role was as devious, golf-loving TV producer Brian Thompson in the 1990s television satire Frontline.
