Bruchsal

Bruchsal is a city approximately 20 km to the northeast of Karlsruhe in the state of Baden-Wrttemberg in Germany. As of 2004, it has 42,747 inhabitants. A relatively small but densely packed and vibrant town, it is the seat of the Bruchsal area, which was a separate administrative district ('Kreis') until 1972, when it was included in the 'Landkreis Karlsruhe'. Towns and villages under the administration of Bruchsal include Bchenau, Heidelsheim, Helmsheim, Obergrombach und Untergrombach. Bruchsal is twinned with Cwmbran, Wales. This small town is also the home of the first international university in Germany - The International University in Germany (http://www.i-u.de).
