Brendan MorrisonBrendan Morrison (born August 15, 1975 in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia) is a professional ice hockey player in the NHL, playing centre for the Vancouver Canucks. Morrison was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2nd round of the 1993 NHL Draft. He played for the University of Michigan from 1993 to 1997, winning the Hobey Baker Award (given to the best NCAA ice hockey player) in 1997. He then played for the New Jersey Devils until being traded to the Vancouver Canucks in the 1999-00 NHL season. He has been with the Canucks since then. Morrison plays on a line with Markus Nslund and Todd Bertuzzi. They are considered to be one of the best scoring lines in the NHL. Morrison's most productive seasons in the NHL have been the 2001-02 and the 2002-03 when he scored 67 and 71 points respectively, third most on the Canucks team (with his linemates Naslund and Bertuzzi being the top two scorers.) Morrison has played for Team Canada in 2000 and 2004 Ice Hockey World Championships, winning the Gold Medal in 2004.
