Boxer (Animal Farm)Boxer is a fictional horse from George Orwell's Animal Farm. He is the farm's most hard-working and loyal worker. He shows the dangers of a nave working class. For several reasons on Animal Farm, Boxer made all the difference labor-wise. He was the main reason the farm was able to construct a windmill. However, his strength failed and Napoleon claimed to arrange for him to be treated in a human hospital. In truth, Boxer was "accidentally " sold to a glue factory to get more money for whisky. Boxer may have been inspired by Aleksei Grigorievich Stakhanov, a miner in Soviet Russia who became a hero in 1935 for his great productivity, or the Soviet Stakhanovite movement named after him, which was aimed at increasing worker productivity.
