Bountiful (Book Of Mormon)

In the First Book of Nephi in the Book of Mormon, Bountiful is a lush land in the south of the Arabian peninsula where Lehi and his party settle temporarily before building their ship. After the ship is completed, they depart Bountiful and sail to the Americas. Today, in Mormon culture, the most popular traditional location of Bountiful is Dhofar in modern Oman. This association is not widely disputed, though it is also not official specific doctrine of the LDS Church.
