Board Of Governors

A Board of Governors is the board of directors of a publicly owned corporation, such as the United States Postal Service and Amtrak. They are appointed by the President of the United States with Senate confirmation. They usually have the power to appoint a Chief Operating Officer. They also exist in many public universities in the United States.
