Blanka

Blanka is a character from the Street Fighter series of fighting games. Blanka is usually green skinned with long red hair. One of his most noted abilities is the ability to channel electricity through his body. According to his official biography, Blanka was born in Brazil on February 12, 1966. He stands 192 cm (just over 6' 3") when upright and weighs 98 kg. His blood type is B. He is a skilled jungle hunter. He likes tropical fruits, pirarucu (Brazilian freshwater fish that grows to lengths of up to 10 feet), and his mother. He dislikes army ants. His fighting style resembles capoeira superficially, but is actually a self-taught savage fighting technique.

Background

When Jimmy was going to visit his uncle, the plane travelled too close to a hidden Shadoloo base, and they shot it down. Jimmy was raised by animals, and learned from electric eels how to use his bioelectricity as a weapon (as ridiculous as it sounds, that's the official statement). His mother, Samantha, was not on the flight (so he was probably going with his father). As he lived in the Brazilian jungle, Blanka (still calling himself Jimmy) rescued a traveller from the perils of the green hell. His name was Dan, and they became friends. When he hitched a ride in the trunk of a poacher's truck, Jimmy encountered the outside world for the first time, but also met Dan and his "student" Sakura. Not enamoured of the outside world, Jimmy returned to the jungle. Blanka fought in the second World Warrior tournament, which his mother was watching, and she recognized him from the anklets he wore. She immediately went to find him, and they had a tearful reunion.
