Black Tiger

(1) Black Tiger was a videogame developed by the japanese company Capcom at 1987. The hardware board contains two 8-bit Zilog Z80 CPUs (@4 and 3MHz), for main program and sound respectively. The second CPU drove two Yamaha YM2203 chips, offering stereophonic sound via operated frequency modulation. In the graphic side, just one word: preciosist; 10 bit palette, representing the 'state of the art' for the time. (2) Black Tiger, born Urs Baur, is the first rapper to rap in a Swiss German dialect, namely Basel German. Those now legendary rhymes appeared on the track "Murder by Dialect" (1991), by P27 featuring Black Tiger. Later, Black Tiger recorded an album with MC Rony and established the group Skeltigeron with Skelt from P27 and MC Rony. He then focused on his solo career, his solo album "Solo" is seen as one of the best rap albums from the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
