Black Star Dragonball SagaThe Black Star Dragonball saga is the start of the GT series, taking place a few years after the end of Dragon Ball Z. This is also the part of the series that tried to recapture the spirit of Dragon Ball with it more comical adventurous tone rather then the serious nature of Dragon Ball Z. The series begins with Goku and Uub fighting in the hyperbolic time chamber though they damge the lookout while doing so. As this is going on, three robots sneak their way into the lookout. The pliots being none other then Emperor Pilaf and his assistants, Mai and Shu, only looking much older since last seen on Dragon Ball. The three have come to the lookout to find the Black Star Dragonballs, alternate balls that Kami hid away before he fused with Piccolo. While their discussing the nature of the balls, Goku and Uub exit from the time chamber. Which we find out was Uub's training that he passed just now. After restoring themselves with sensui beans, Uub wishes Goku, Dende, and Mr. Popo goodbye and leaves. Goku is on the verge of following him in leaving the lookout. But Pilaf activate the black star balls, calling a red colored Shenron for his wish. Goku walks in on them in the middle of the summoning, to which Pilaf remebers him despite Goku having gotten older (his hair was a give away though). He orders his assistants to kill Goku with their rockets, but Goku easily stop them without setting them off. This causes Pilaf to get angry and rants that he wishes Goku was still a kid. The red Shenron hears the accidental wish and grants it, turning Goku back into a kid. At first Goku thinks it no big deal, despite the worries of King Kai, Dende, and Popo, and heads back to Earth. While moving around the city, he runs into his grand-daughter Pan, though she doesn't recognize him at first. It isn't until a visting Roshi points him out that she believes him. Later Goku breaks the news of his downsizing to his wife Chi-Chi (who of course doesn't take it so well) as well as Gohan and Videl, who are just as dumbfounded. However it get worse as King Kai brings news that when a wish is granted on the Black Star Dragonballs, the planet that they were used on explodes within one year, due to the huge energy needed to grant the wish. Making matters more dire is that the balls are spread across the universe rather then the planet. The only way to stop Earth from being destroyed is to find the all the balls and bring them back. Soon, Bulma gets to work on a spaceship while Goku, who recruits (with the help of Vegeta) Trunks and Goten to help look for the balls, prepares for their journey. While Goku and Trunks are surveying the ship (Goten outside trying to break off a date), they find Pan already inside, who immedently pushes the launch button, prematurely sending the ship into space before it's even ready. From there, the trio visit one planet after another, finding the Dragonballs while dealing with minor forces that hinder their quest. On their first stop they pick a robot who calls himself Giru, though it wasn't by choice as the robot had swallowed their dragon radar and fused with it, thus becoming the group's radar for the journey. However, when the trio arrive on a planet called M2, Giru true intention is brought to light. Continued in the Bebi Saga.
